I established Ghanem Law Firm in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1997. Since then, it has earned a strong reputation as one of Lebanon’s premier law firms.
As a Lawyer, Arbitrator and University Lecturer I have served in the arbitration committee at the Beirut Bar Association and an Executive Board member of the Lebanese International Arbitration Centre (LIAC-BBA), I contributed to the management and development of arbitration centers and participated actively in the Panels Management Group (PMG) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIArb) in London, where I provide guidance on professional performance and contribute to the formulation of international policies and arbitration rules across more than 120 CIArb branches worldwide, and recently I have been appointed Member of the Peer Review Panel at the CIarb in London as well as a Rapporteur for the Special Arbitration Committee tasked with crafting a proposal to enhance the current Lebanese Law on Arbitration.
In response to the global trend toward data protection and GRC, I assist organizations and multinational companies in complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by implementing appropriate security measures to safeguard personal data, as well as working with key executives to develop and implement a Data governance strategy and reviewing policies relating to Risk Management, Compliance and artificial intelligence as an “Integrated Risk Management Professional” (IRMP) and “Integrated Artificial Intelligence Professional” (IAIP).
My legal practice encompasses international business law, Banking & Finance, Corporate Law, Commercial Law GRC, GDPR, Privacy Law and International dispute resolution.
I have served as an arbitrator and Mediator in both institutional and ad hoc arbitration cases related to commercial and construction laws in Lebanon, UAE and KSA.
