Iris Raynaud acts as arbitrator and assists arbitral tribunals in the management of complex international disputes.

Over the last 10 years, Iris has been involved in 30 international arbitration proceedings as counsel (collective experience), as assistant to the Tribunal (under the Presidency of Prof. Bernard Hanotiau) and most recently as arbitrator.

Her experience covers complex commercial disputes and investor-state disputes (ad hoc, ICC, ICSID, PCA, LCIA, SIAC, DIA, SCAI, CEPANI, KCAB) relating to the following industries: nuclear, oil, gas, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, microelectronics, banking, insurance & reinsurance, broadcasting rights, precious metal, commodity trading, telecommunications, logistics, waste management, automotive, shipping, construction.

Iris is known for her strong analytical and communication skills, her pragmatism and result driven approach. She enjoys working on complex and technical disputes and believes that efficient dispute resolution is key to a healthy and active international business environment.

Iris works in English and French and understands well Spanish. She is qualified in France (Paris) and England & Wales (Solicitor) and is registered with the Brussels Bar (E List). She has worked in the United Kingdom, Belgium, France and South Korea.

Iris is an active member of CEPANI-40’s Steering Committee. She also publishes in Les Cahiers de l’Arbitrage and Kluwer Arbitration.
