Professional experience
Dr. Dario Hug is currently lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Neuchâtel.He earned his Bachelor degree at the University of Neuchâtel (2010) and his Master degree at the University of Lausanne (2012). He wrote his PhD thesis on "The formation of the Consumer Contract under Swiss Law" (2019). He did his PostDoc at KU Leuven (2021-2022) and at the University of Zurich (2023).
Additionally, he is a lecturer in Consumer Law at the University of Neuchâtel. He has also taught Obligation Law at the Universities of Zurich and Bern, as well as Contract Law at the University of Neuchâtel. Furthermore, Dario has working experience as an independent attorney-at-law and as a law clerk at the Swiss administrative federal Court (indirect tax and customs law).
Dario Hug's favourite research topics are Consumer Law, Obligation and Contract Law, the Circular Economy and the impact of Environmental Sustainability on these fields of law as well as on private law in general.
