Professionele ervaring

Dario Hug (1987) earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Neuchâtel (2010) and his
Master’s degree at the University of Lausanne (2012). He wrote his PhD thesis on ‘The formation
of the Consumer Contract under Swiss Law’ (2019). He was a PostDoc at KU Leuven (2021–
2022) and the University of Zurich (2023). His favourite research topics are Obligation and Contract
Law, Consumer Law and the Circular Economy. He is the author and co‑author of various
scientific papers in these research fields. Additionally, Dario was Dozent in Obligation Law at the
University of Zurich and a lecturer in Consumer and Contract Law at the University of Neuchâtel.
He also has practical working experience as an independent attorney‑at‑law in Switzerland and as
a law clerk at the Swiss Administrative Federal Court. He is currently also affiliated to the University of Bern as a research associate at the Institute of Civil Law.
