Gabriele Ruscalla is a Partner at Le 16 Law, a Paris-based law firm dedicated to dispute resolution.Gabriele has 15 years of experience representing corporations, States, and state entities in international commercial and investment arbitrations across the construction, energy / oil & gas, mining, and corporate sectors. He has acted under all major arbitration rules, including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, UNCITRAL, and CCJA.
Much of Gabriele’s practice focuses on large-scale infrastructure and energy projects in the Middle East and Africa. These cases often involve highly complex technical issues and diverse legal systems, from French and Swiss law to the laws of Algeria, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, the DRC, Chile and Singapore.
Before national courts, he represents his clients in arbitration-related litigation.
He also serves as arbitrator under the rules of the ICC, the Swiss Arbitration Center and the Milan Arbitration Chamber and well as in ad hoc proceedings. Prior to returning to private practice in 2021, he worked for five years as Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration, where he administered hundreds of arbitration proceedings.
Gabriele is admitted to the Paris Bar and practices in English, French and Italian.
