The 10th edition of the Brussels Pre-Moot to the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot), was kindly hosted on 31 March and 1 April 2025 by White & Case LLP and Linklaters LLP, under the auspices of CEPANI40. It gathered 17 universities from all over the world and more than 130 lawyers acting as mock arbitrators. The luncheons organised on both days, and the cocktail reception at the end of the first one, allowed the arbitrators and students to connect, exchange on their experience and share war stories.
To mark the 10th edition of the Brussels Pre‑Moot, we were delighted to welcome back the Moot’s founders, Jean‑François Tossens and Sophie Goldman, as well as CEPANI40 co‑founder Dirk De Meulemeester, to arbitrate the finals, which saw the University of Montevideo (Uruguay) prevail over the University of Pavia (Italy).
The students provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, highlighting the high quality of the tribunals and the invaluable insights they received over the course of the event.
