Dr Ole Jensen is a founding member of ArbBoutique. He has extensive experience acting as counsel in domestic and international arbitration proceedings and regularly serves as arbitrator. His practice spans a wide range of industries and includes matters seated in both civil and common law jurisdictions, applying various governing laws, and conducted in English and German.Ole has served as arbitrator in institutional and ad hoc cases, including under the DIS, ICC, LCIA, SIAC, SCC, VIAC and UNCITRAL Rules. He is included on the arbitrator rosters of several arbitral institutions, including a specialized tribunal resolving disputes in the world of esports. In his practice as arbitrator, Ole draws on extensive experience in assisting some of the world’s leading arbitrators as tribunal secretary in high value, high stakes matters.
A significant part of Ole’s work concerns technology-driven and IP-intensive industries, including aerospace, biotechnology, electric vehicles, cryptocurrencies, pharmaceuticals, gaming and digital platforms. He has experience in matters involving patent licensing, software development and technology transfer arrangements. He is recommended by Lexology for contentious matters relating to artificial intelligence and increasingly acts in disputes involving emerging technologies, digital infrastructure and data-driven business models.
Alongside his practice, Ole teaches arbitration and international commercial law at Humboldt University of Berlin, the University of Chile and The Hague University of Applied Sciences. He serves as ICC YAAF Representative for Europe & Central Asia and has published on contemporary issues of arbitration and international commercial law, including the role and regulation of artificial intelligence in dispute resolution.
Ole is a member of the Berlin Bar and registered in England and Wales.
