Professional experience

Dr. Kris Wagner (LL.M., Harvard Law School, 1997; Ph.D. in Law, KU Leuven, 2006) has been a practising lawyer since 1995. He has worked with, among others, Linklaters and DLA Piper. He is the author of, inter alia, "Handboek arbitrage" (Intersentia, 2022) and "Manuel de l’arbitrage belge et international" (Larcier, 2023, 917 pp.). Since 2024, he has been residing in the United Arab Emirates, where he works as a professor and an independent arbitrator. At the end of 2025, he was finalising a two-volume "Treatise on UAE Arbitration Law: Analysis and Commentary with Comparative Perspectives", comprising approximately 1,200 pages.
