Professional experience

Karel Daele is a commercial and investor-state arbitration specialist (including ICSID; UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, SCC and CEPANI) and acts both as counsel and as arbitrator. He splits his time between London and Brussels and has a particular focus on Africa disputes. He is also the author of the reference work on the challenge and disqualification of arbitrators. He is civil and common law qualified and accepts cases in Dutch, English and French.
