Professional experience

I have been a lawyer since 1987, first in the litigation department of an international firm, and since 1996 as a partner at Verhaegen Walravens, an independent corporate, commercial and litigation firm based in Brussels. Over the years I have been involved in some of the largest cases in Belgium, often with ramifications abroad : large fraud cases, the consequences of the tech bubble bursting in 2000, major restructurings, litigation involving financial products following the 2008/2009 financial crisis, distressed M&A. I have been ranked in legal directories since 2005. Former member of the Brussels bar council, member of the Flemish bar council.
