Bart Van Besien is Belgian lawyer. His focus is on intellectual property law (including copyright & trademarks), internet & media law, domain names, privacy & data protection, art law, and arbitration. Previously, Bart has worked as a corporate lawyer for an American IT company in Ireland, and as a university researcher (Université Libre de Bruxelles and UC Berkeley). Bart is a lecturer in Intellectual Property Rights at the “Diplomatic Academy” of the Free University of Brussels (VUB) (post-graduate programme). He is registered with the Antwerp bar and is a member of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).
