Frank Wijckmans is a member of the Brussels Bar since 1986. He is a partner at the Brussels-based law firm Faros. He teaches at the Brussels School of Competition (LL.M. program) and is an assessor at the Belgian Competition Authority.Frank has extensive experience in handling both Belgian and cross-border matters in the broader field of business law. He is well-known for his work in the field of competition law where he handles matters at various levels, ranging from the European Commission and Courts in Luxemburg to national competition authorities within Europe, as well as numerous countries outside of Europe.
Frank is invited frequently to act as arbitrator in both domestic and cross-border commercial disputes. He has served as arbitrator both in ad hoc arbitration and arbitration governed by various institutional regimes. The vast majority of the cases in which he acted as arbitrator concerned either post-M&A disputes or complex contractual matters (and related claims).
Frank has an extensive publication record. His most well-known publications include several monographs published by Oxford University Press. Frank has published in leading international and Belgian law reviews.
