Professional experience

The core profession of attorney- partner, trustee, mediator in the law firm SOLVIMUS is combined with judicial mandates as court mandator, administrator and advisory positions in family businesses. Since January 2008, I became certified mediator in civil and commercial matters and Limburg practice pioneer in judicial mediations, appointed by Corporate Courts and Courts of First Instance all over Belgium. I teach the subject of communication skills, negotiation and mediation as part of the Professional Training of Trainee Lawyers. I am a guest lecturer at the KUL Faculty of Law in Leuven (KUL) and Kortrijk (KULAK), teaching the basic training and the specialised training to become certified mediator. I am regularly asked to give seminars on adapted conflict resolution, solution-oriented pathway thinking, connecting communication and interest-based negotiation. I am (co)author of several books and articles.
