Lawrence Muller has been a lawyer since 1981.He advises, assists and defends clients in the areas of real estate (construction, property development, estate sales, leases and co-ownerships), corporate law (setting up, transformation and restructuring of companies, drafting of shareholders agreements, etc.), insolvency (winding up, judicial reorganization, bankruptcy), commercial contracts (a.o. distributorship ans agency), as well as disciplinary law and sports law.
He is a company mediator with the commercial court of Brussels.
He has a wide experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) such as arbitration (both national and international), mediation, conciliation and collaborative law.
He is a member of the CEPANI (Centre pour l’Etude et la Pratique de l’Arbitrage National et International), CCAI (Chambre de Conciliation, d'Arbitrage et de Médiation en matière Immobilière) and CBAS (Cour Belge d’Arbitrage pour le Sport) and ABDC (Association Belge pour le Droit de la Construction.
He is also a member of the business law commission of the Brussels Bar (French-speaking section).
He has been a member of the managing board of the Brussels Bar (French-speaking section) from 1995 to 1998 and the secretary of the Brussels Bar (French-speaking section) from 1996 to 1998.
He has taught the ethical rules of the profession of lawyer at the Brussels Bar (French-speaking section) from 1999 à 2011.
Ha has been the deputy secretary of the disciplinary board of Brussels from 2007 to 2017.
He has been a member of the cabinet of the president of the Brussels Bar (French-speaking section) sinve 2017.
A native of the US, Lawrence is bilingual and owns Belgian and American citizenships.
He speaks good Dutch and some German.
